🕯 The Origins of Halloween

Halloween traces back over 2,000 years to the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, which marked the end of harvest and the beginning of winter — a time believed to blur the line between the living and the dead. On the night of October 31st, it was believed that spirits could roam the earth.

To ward off these spirits, people lit bonfires and wore costumes — traditions that evolved into today’s iconic Halloween activities like carving pumpkins, dressing up, trick-or-treating, and celebrating all things spooky!
